Achievements

A map of atrium's surface area, as things you can earn.

atrium has more surface than any tour could cover. The Achievements pane turns that surface into a map: 61 achievements across seven categories, each one a real capability you either have found or haven't yet.

It doubles as the first-run experience — the pane that greets a brand-new install is this one, in calibration mode.

The dashboard

  • A completion ring with derived XP and an "N of M systems online" readout.
  • Search, plus All / In-progress / Earned / Locked filters.
  • Seven categories — First Steps, Workspace, Make It Yours, Power Moves, Orchestrator, Collaborator, Expertise.
  • Click any card for a detail modal: why the capability matters and how to earn it, as concrete steps.
Locked achievements are not dimmed out of legibility — the point is to read them and find out what atrium does.

Open it from the Home sidebar's More row. It is a singleton: opening it again focuses the existing pane rather than making a second one. It can also be docked as a resident.

How achievements unlock

Two kinds, tracked by the same engine:

  • State achievements derive from a snapshot of your world — which sidebar modes you've used, activity density, pinned cards, zen mode, backgrounded agents, workspaces you created, launch profiles, agent definitions, hidden projects, done worktrees, popped-out panes, canvas notes. These back-credit: if you were already doing the thing before the achievement existed, you get it.
  • Event achievements fire on a transient action — opening the omni menu, using voice, sending a message, dismissing an agent, saving to the vault.
Unlocks announce themselves through a HUD message that renders above modals, so it never gets buried.

The HUD

The achievement HUD is a small message primitive that surfaces unlocks and welcome messages. It layers above dialogs and does not steal focus.

Installing what you're missing

Several achievements are about tools you haven't connected yet. Where that's the case, the card can install the thing directly — adapter recipes wire up a tool from the pane instead of sending you to a terminal to figure out the install yourself. The redesigned Settings → Tools surface owns the same job at greater depth.
