Dock panes above or below either sidebar as residents — resizable, collapsible to the rail, visible in every room, and restored across restarts; git and notes residents show compact lists that open full views in the mosaic.
Drag a pane onto a sidebar dock slot to dock it as a resident, and drag a resident back into a room to drop it exactly where you want.
